Stanford Law School Empirical Research Fellowship
Over the past 5 years, research fellows have matriculated in PhD programs at: Harvard (Economics), Berkeley, (Economics), Columbia (Economics), Harvard (Sociology), Harvard (Health Policy), MIT (Economics), Northwestern (Economics), UC San Diego (Economics), University of Chicago (Economics), Cambridge (Economics), University of Pennsylvania (Economics), University of Pennsylvania (Finance). In the past 5 years, fellows have also matriculated in law school at Stanford Law School, Yale Law School, and Cornell Law School.
Participation in this fellowship opportunity allows you to take and audit Stanford courses and attend on-campus lectures and seminars free of charge. In addition, incumbents in this fellowship will be eligible to take one course per quarter, not to exceed a maximum of 5 units (for which departments will pay a discounted fee), with approval from your faculty supervisor.

New Winter 2026 Education Abroad Class: "A Green Giant? Environmentalism and Technology in Germany, Today and Yesterday."
The deadline to sign up is 9/30. You can earn credit for one of these three-credit courses: HIST252, ECON258G, ENES269Z, GERS262, CPSP279G, and PHPE308Q. This course also counts as an elective for the Sustainability minor, as an elective for the STEP minor, and as a practicum for the STS Scholars program under the ENES designation. Scholarships are available.

ECON Career Fair Attendee Maryland State Retirement and Pension Systems has internship position!
The Maryland State Retirement and Pension Systems is currently hiring for a Summer Investment Associate Intern. The Maryland State Retirement Agency (the “Agency”) is the administrator of the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System (the “System”). The System is a multi-employer, public employees’ benefit retirement system composed of twelve (12) separate retirement and pension systems with additional plan components, covering approximately 205,000 active members and more than 175,000 retirees and beneficiaries.
The Investment Division of the Maryland State Retirement Agency seeks two bright, highly motivated individuals to join our Investment Associate Internship Program. Each Intern will have a hands-on opportunity to apply what has been learned in the classroom to a real world, large-scale investment operation. The interns will be assigned special projects, learn how to utilize financial software, and work with experts who are responsible for investing the plan assets of the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System, totaling approximately $73 Billion as of June 30, 2025.
The Interns, like our Investment Team, must maintain a positive team management approach and be both results driven and creative problem solvers who work together to assist the team in managing our global multi-asset portfolio.
The Investment Division is committed to providing professional work experience that will give the Investment Associate Interns a complete understanding of the institutional investment process and to provide a diverse and inclusive workplace that embraces both analytical and innovative thinkers. Interns will have the opportunity to work on special projects in one or more areas including Public Equity, Fixed Income, Real Estate, Private Equity, Compliance, and Accounting and Operations.

Get Consulting Experience with on-campus Snider Consulting Group!
Snider Consulting Group is currently searching for a new cohort of leaders to invite to the team. Students of all majors with five or more semesters until graduation are eligible to apply.
SCG is currently partnered with EY. As a part of the onboarding process, new analysts will engage in numerous faculty and EY-led workshops to enhance their consulting expertise and work on benchmarking analysis for the remainder of the semester. After establishing a foundation of management consulting knowledge and understanding SCG's inner operations, new members join the ranks as consultants and tackle client projects in the upcoming term.
