In October, Kalshi is holding a contest for U.S. college students to trade on the outcome of political events (whether Biden will run for re-election, who will win the Georgia Senate election, etc.) with fake funds. IA Junior Fellowship - Now Recruiting

Now Recruiting for 2023-2025

The Junior Fellowship program is a highly selective, fixed two-year program for new college graduates to work shaping international economic policy for the United States in Treasury’s Office of International Affairs. Fellows have left the program to pursue a range of opportunities, including employment at Treasury and elsewhere in the U.S. government, work in the private sector, and graduate study (e.g., law, public policy, international relations, and finance and business).

Junior Fellows have exposure to multiple policy issues and opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills. They typically perform a variety of tasks that include developing policy proposals, analyzing international economic and financial developments, and conducting analytical studies. Fellows also support bilateral and multilateral meetings for senior Treasury officials engaging counterparts at the IMF, World Bank, G7, and G20 – to name a few. Junior Fellows often participate in such meetings and may have opportunities to travel abroad.

Junior Fellows are usually hired at the GS-9 level and receive standard Treasury benefits.

DocNet PHD Info and Recruitment Fair on 10/13/2022

On Thursday, October 13th, George Mason University and University of Maryland will host a DocNet recruitment event. The goal of this event is to provide an opportunity for our university’s talented students to explore advancing their education and careers in research with a doctoral business degree. The event will feature a panel session with faculty and current doctoral students explaining why and how to pursue a PhD in Business. Immediately after the panel discussion, registered participants will attend a recruitment fair, where participants can meet with many of the AACSB business school doctoral programs representatives, including Harvard, UC Berkeley, University of Michigan, University of Chicago, etc. The full list is available on the registration→ go.gmu.edu/docnet22.

Penn Wharton Budget Model RA Recruitment


Penn Wharton Budget Model (PWBM) is seeking to hire for immediate employment one Research Data Analyst with a deep interest in economic research, to assist with faculty-led research with several public policy topics, including tax reform, spending policies, education, health care, entitlements reform, and the federal budget. Job responsibilities include collecting data, performing statistical and econometric analyses, authoring research reports, and providing research-related technical programming support.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. A thorough understanding of economics, ability to use statistical and programming tools, and self-motivation are highly valued in performing these functions.
