The internship will involve a mix of longer-term project work with room for flexibility in determining approach and scope, as well as contributions to weekly tasks. The Audience Relations Data Analytics intern reports to NPR’s Audience Relations Manager, but will also closely collaborate with members of NPR’s Digital Media division who may be doing parallel work in this area. The internship dates are from May 21-Aug. 10.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and gather insights on listener emails about NPR’s programming, platforms, and products.
- Use tools like Google Analytics, New Relic, MySQL databases, and process data with Excel, R, Python, or the language of your choice
- Draw conclusions from the data, communicate your conclusions in write-ups, meetings, and presentations
- Build dashboards to automate data gathering and processing
