Location: Meet in the lobby of the University Career Center & The President's Promise
Join the University Career Center & The President's Promise on a Career Shuttle to the World Bank, DC! This trip has been arranged in conjunction with the College of Behavioral & Social Sciences Dean's Student Advisory Council. The visit will include an onsite seminar – led by a Human Resources professional – to provide an opportunity to learn about the World Bank Group recruitment initiatives and gain some concrete ideas and tips on how to connect with the Bank and, more in general, with international institutions focusing on development matters. Internship and other youth hiring programs will also be discussed.
Space is limited - pleaseRSVP today and reserve 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. for the site visit. Due to the limited space and the expected high demand for this trip, we will be enforcing our "no show" policy. Once you have RSVP'd and received a confirmation email, please plan to meet in the University Career Center & The President's Promise (3100 Hornbake Library, South Wing) at 9:30 a.m. We will depart promptly by bus and return to campus by 2:30 p.m.

Futures 'Unpaid Internship' Scholarship awards students with need-based
scholarships ranging from $250-$1,250 to help offset expenses incurred during
unpaid internships.

Eligible
Candidates
All registered University of
Maryland, College Park undergraduate students returning to campus for the fall
2016 semester, who have an internship for spring 2016, are eligible to apply.
Graduating seniors (May 2016 & August 2016) are not eligible. Preference
will be given to juniors and seniors and to those who have not previously
received an award. In order for a student's internship to qualify for
funding support, it must satisfy the following criteria:
- Unpaid on-campus
or off-campus internship with a non-profit organization or government
agency
- Offered during
the spring and completed by Friday, May 20, 2016
- Supervised by a
professional in the organization
