DoD’s Financial Future program is hiring UMD seniors

Members of the Department of Defense Financial Management (DoD FM) team are looking to hire soon to be graduates into introductory financial management roles! They will be on campus on February 13th, 2024, from 5:00-6:30 pm EST. The event will be taking place in Room 1511 of Van Munching Hall. The Do Good Institute's Impact Interns applications are now open! Impact Interns connects University of Maryland students with paid internships with nonprofit and social impact organizations. Impact Interns is perfect for students that want to create a positive social impact and develop professionally over the course of the summer. For Summer 2024, the Do Good Institute is offering over 100 exciting positions across many different work areas from program management to communications.

UN ECLAC Fall Internship Program - Open to current seniors or recent graduates

The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) is currently accepting applications for our Internship Program.

The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean is one of the five regional Commissions of the United Nations. It was founded in 1948 with the purpose of contributing to the region's economic and social development. Its mission includes the design, monitoring and evaluation of public policies and the provision of advisory services, expertise and training to Governments, as well as support for regional and international cooperation and coordination activities. The internship in the ECLAC Washington Office will last between 2 and 6 months, depending on the Office's needs. Candidates may be selected on an "as-needed" basis throughout the posting period. Under the supervision or overall guidance of the Office's Director and other staff, the intern will perform duties to support the team in the research agenda of the Office. Tasks will include but not be limited to:

• Research on topics such as Artificial Intelligence, new technologies, and their impact on economic development (with a focus on LAC).
• Conduct literature reviews to understand the current state of the research topic and its implications for LAC.
• Summarize and analyze relevant research papers and publications.
• Participate in team meetings and discussions.
• Attend relevant conferences, webinars, and seminars.
• Collect information from official country data, specialized agencies, and other sources.
• Review and compile the collected data and information, prepare reports, and update databases of the Office, incorporating appropriate tables, graphs, and charts with references.
• The intern may also be asked to assist in the day-to-day work of the Office if required.

Paid Internship-to-Analyst Position at RosettiStar

RosettiStarr, a corporate intelligence, investigations and security consulting firm based in Bethesda, MD, is hiring for its summer 2024 internship to analyst program.

• The internship is in-person and full-time, Mon.-Fri., 9-5 in Bethesda, MD. We typically do two summer sessions, one in June and one in July, exact dates TBD.

• The goal of the program is to train individuals in research, public records, writing and analysis with the intent of converting interns into full-time analysts at the end of the summer. They will consider anyone graduating in spring 2024, undergrad or Master's.

• The internship is paid!

This position is great for anyone interested in research, investigations and legal and business-related topics.
