We have a wonderful opportunity for undergraduate students
interested in statistical analysis to participate in the First Annual ASA DataFest
DC!
April 10-12, 2015 at Summit, 601 New Jersey Ave, NW, Suite 400,
Washington, DC 20001 (Near Union Station)
Hosted by The Joint Program in Survey Methodology (JPSM) at the
University of Maryland, teams of 2-5 undergraduate students work together over
a weekend to analyze a given data set and present their findings to a panel of
judges consisting of experts in the field. Throughout the event, Tech Talks will be presented providing
student teams with tips and relevant techniques to hone their search and
effectively communicate their analysis along with mentors who will be on hand
to offer advice.
Meals will be provided.
Come show off your analytic muscles to an audience of potential
employers and compete with other DC area colleges and universities for prizes!
