Internship with The American Road and Transportation Builders Association for Winter/Spring 2016

The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA), a premier trade association located in Washington, D.C., is seeking a paid intern to assist the Economics & Research team with primary research, writing and data work during the winter/spring 2016 semester.

We are seeking applicants that:

• Have excellent writing and data management skills
• Are proficient in STATA and Excel
• Are self-motivated
• Can balance multiple tasks
• Have a high attention to details
• Are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, preferably with a major in economics or the social sciences 

The position will include:

• Detailed research on the transportation construction industry at the federal and state level
• Compiling and managing large datasets 
• Reaching out to industry and state officials
• Analyzing data and information from federal and state source
• Writing in-depth case studies and providing analysis of transportation funding measures

The applicant should be familiar with a variety of general data sources and comfortable working with large datasets in STATA and Excel. This position includes producing content for revenue-generating reports and custom market studies that are shared with association members, government officials and the media.

ARTBA is a leading trade association with over 5,000 members that represent all facets of the transportation construction industry. Our members include contractors, design firms, educators, equipment manufacturers and transportation officials.
