Are you interested in community service? Do you want to make learn more about social issues in the Prince George's County community?
Well then Terps for Change is the Program for you!
Participating with Terps for Change is a semester long commitment of volunteering (at a site of your choice) and learning about relevant social issues. As a participant, you would volunteer at the same site every week and attend dialogue bi-weekly (a total of 5). This opportunity not only allows you to learn outside of the classroom, but hone soft skills for future careers and make friends.
We offer a variety of community sites that tackle topics such as disparities in education, environmental conservation, aging, poverty, and women's protection. The best part is that most of these sites are close to campus or metro accessible.
So if you're interested please feel free to click this link: Terps For Change Application. You must login to OrgSync, with you campus UID (at the top), in order to view and submit the form! Applications are due January 29th, 2016. "
