In conjunction with the Master of Professional Studies in
Applied Economics program, we will offer an economics-specific Career Fair on Thursday, February 25th. The event will be
held at 1400 16th Street, NW, Washington, DC, near DuPont Circle,
and it offers both undergraduate and masters candidates the opportunity to
network and interview with employers looking to fill internships and/or
full-time positions.
The following employers have already confirmed their
participation:
American Institutes for Research
Duff & Phelps Consulting
Econometrica, Inc.
Moody's Analytics
Social and Scientific Systems, Inc. (SSS)
US Bureau of Labor Statistics
US Congressional Budget Office
US Environmental Protection Agency
US Federal Home Financing Association
US Small Business Administration, Office of Advocacy, and
Office of Economic Research
World Bank
The event will feature a traditional Career Fair from
2:00-4:00 PM where all of these employers will be available for informal
conversations. Students are not required to RSVP.
Note: The University of Maryland’s Career Center is hosting
the general (not economics-specific) Spring Career & Internship Fair on
campus February 24th, 25th and 26th. More information about the on-campus event is posted here: http://www.careers.umd.edu/events
Depending on your interests, the general event might be a better choice, but if
you are really interested in the economics discipline, you should reserve the
25th for the event in DC.
In general, if you have concerns and/or suggestions about
this event or anything else related to career services, please send me an
email.
