About the MA in Economics
Stony Brook University’s MA in Economics enables students to earn a degree from one of the most respected public universities in the nation. Admission Requirements
Students in the MA program come from numerous academic backgrounds, including a variety of undergraduate majors in the arts and sciences. Applicants must have earned a bachelor’s degree with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale), must have taken algebra and calculus courses, must have taken the Graduate Record Examination or equivalent, and must submit three letters of recommendation from instructors, academic advisors or employers.
