The Export-Import Bank of the United States (“EXIM Bank”) is the official export credit agency of the United States. EXIM Bank's mission is to assist in financing the export of U.S. goods and services to international markets. EXIM Bank enables U.S. companies, large and small, to turn export opportunities into real sales that help to maintain and create U.S. jobs and contribute to a stronger national economy.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Office of Policy Analysis and International Relations (OPAIR) of EXIM Bank is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic student to serve as a summer intern. Note that applicants must be US citizens. While unpaid, an OPAIR internship offers an exciting opportunity for students to learn about export finance, both in the United States and abroad. This internship focuses on the activities of the Chinese export credit agencies.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Conducting open-source research to help create a Chinese export credit database
- Analyzing Chinese initiatives (e.g. One Belt, One Road and Made in China 2025) and their potential implications for EXIM Bank and U.S. exporters
- Presenting research findings to OPAIR staff and other senior leaders
Interns are also invited to participate in meetings with other EXIM Bank divisions, other federal agencies, and EXIM Bank’s global counterparts. Students must be currently enrolled.
