CAMRIS is currently seeking an Economist for the anticipated U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Analytics, Data, Visualization, and Information Services (ADVISE) contract, which seeks to improve the usage of USAID data and information, so that the Agency continues to ensure its development outcomes are supported by evidence.
- Support economists, researchers, and other staff with official reporting requirements, fielding analytics requests from customers, and processing and analyzing economic and other data in a variety of formats from multiple sources.
- Help administer data calls and surveys, and will have a strong background in applying quantitative methods to produce new insight and analytical products.
- Support processes related to collecting, verifying, redacting, normalizing, and otherwise processing data received from multiple sources.
- Support the development of quantitative models, methodologies, and business processes.
- Coordinate the collection and harmonization of data from USAID enterprise systems and foreign assistance data from a wide and disparate range of information sources, in a variety of formats.
- Administer surveys to obtain updated economic, foreign assistance, and related data and must be capable of producing economic forecasts based on quantitative models, economic science, and other econometric techniques.
Qualifications
- Conversant in using statistical packages, such as SPSS, SAS, STATA, R, and related programs.
- A bachelor’s degree in economics or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience applying quantitative research methods working with real world foreign assistance data; operating or managing foreign assistance databases; and applying statistical methods to conduct analysis.
- Experience aggregating, normalizing, and displaying international development data from multiple sources, and conveying nuanced distinctions and conclusions to end users while ensuring utmost accuracy.
