Inforum, a research center within the Department of
Economics, would like to hire an Undergraduate Research Assistant for the Fall
2018 semester, with the intention of continuing the employment through the Spring. These hourly, paid positions consist of
general assistance for economic modeling and analysis projects, especially working
with many different types of data with Excel and statistical packages. Students typically work for 10 to 16 hours
per week during the semester, and for 20 to 30 hours per week over the summer. Candidates preferably have completed several economics
courses and should be familiar with manipulating data in Excel.
Inforum develops models of the US and other economies that
use a mixture of input-output and macroeconometric modeling. Inforum has developed the software G7 and
Interdyme which are used in modeling, databank development, and client
