Paid summer Internship with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission

This is a SUMMER 2019 internship position. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate for an exciting internship position in the Washington Office. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, or FERC, is an independent agency that regulates the interstate transmission of natural gas, oil, and electricity. At time of application, applicant must submit proof of current enrollment in a degree-seeking program. If selected, applicant must provide proof of continuing education through either the Summer or Fall 2019 semesters.

These positions are temporary, they may be converted to a full time, career-conditional position. Any conversions to full time or career-conditional status is neither implied nor guaranteed.

Duties include:
  • Assists in analyzing the environmental impact of proposed energy facilities. 
  • Reviews, analyzes, and determines the merits of comments and recommendations filed with the Commission, and reports on environmental factors, determining the adequacy of data supplied.
