Interested in Pursuing a Masters or PhD?

The Institute for Recruitment of Teachers (IRT) empowers talented underserved and underrepresented future educators to teach and serve as leaders in American education because diversity is essential to excellence. If you are considering pursuing your MA or PhD, consider the IRT.

The IRT helps students of color and others who are committed to social justice and diversity, pursue advanced degrees within the field of Education, Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. They work with a consortium of over 40+ institutions who provide their students with application fee waivers while in-house they provide year-long one on one advising and support throughout the graduate school process.

They will be hosting an information session in partnership with Christopher Perez, the Director of the Office of Graduate Diversity and Inclusion. The information session will be held on Wednesday, 1/29/2020 in the Juan Ramon Jimenez Room, 2208 Stamp Student Union from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Anyone looking to pursue a MA or PhD in the Arts, Humanities, Education, or Social Sciences are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served.

The IRT accepts applications from professionals in the field, people who already have a master’s degree or are currently enrolled in a master’s program, recent graduates, and undergraduate juniors and seniors. Undergraduate juniors and seniors are also eligible to apply for their paid, summer residential internship. Interested candidates can RSVP here. If you are unable to attend or have questions, please contact Monica Reum, Recruitment and Admissions Program Specialist at mreum@andover.edu.
