Richmond Fed RA and Summer Intern Positions Open

The Richmond Fed has just opened applications for research assistants (RAs) and summer interns in the Richmond Fed research department:

Interested candidates should apply by October 31st to be considered for the first round of interviews. This is a full-time, two-year position to work alongside our economists supporting both policy and academic work. We have placed recent RAs in top Econ PhD programs.


Summer interns: Apply here: Summer 2026 Academic Research Internship Interested candidates should apply by early October to be considered for the first round of interviews. This is a 10 week, full-time, paid internship for undergrads going into their junior or senior year. Interns will be doing research alongside RAs and economists. This is a great way to get early exposure to academics, and successful interns may be offered RA positions once they graduate.
