Community Pipeline is a new UMD initiative to connect and
share resources with local Prince George's County Public Schools.
The Pipeline helps any group of UMD students get involved in
mentoring at a local school. Groups organize and lead a short-term afterschool
program on whatever topic they are already passionate about!
We provide student groups with:
à Chartered transportation to the school (courtesy of
DOTS)
à Lesson Plan creation assistance (courtesy of the
College of Education)
à On-campus Background Checks
à All correspondence and set-up
à Staff on-site during each day of programs
à Stipends to pay for any program materials
Come and learn more! ALL ARE WELCOME to our first GBM of the
semester!
