Apply for the Hinman CEOs Program

Overview 
As the nation's first living-learning entrepreneurship program, Hinman CEOs is a groundbreaking initiative placing entrepreneurial students from all academic disciplines into a unique community. Students live together, learn about entrepreneurship, and can launch new ventures during this two-year experience. All undergraduates from the University of Maryland are invited to apply for this competitive program. Brian Hinman, University of Maryland alumnus and successful entrepreneur, provided funding to initiate and support the Program.

Courses for Entrepreneurs by Entrepreneurs
  • Learn from seasoned entrepreneurs and investors
  • Enroll in face-to-face and flipped classroom-based entrepreneurship courses
  • Develop business ideas, prototypes, and business models for class credit
Minor in Technology Entrepreneurship
  • Earn 12 of the 15 required credits for the Minor during the 2 year experience
LAUNCH 
Coaching for Students
  • Benefit from business coaching and entrepreneurs-in-residence
  • Meet with veteran entrepreneurs and investors
Seed Funding
  • Access a $25,000 seed fund reserved for Hinman CEOs and Mtech students
  • No pay-back or equity requirements
  • Helped raise over $300,000 in grants and non-dilutive capital for student ventures
Career Mentoring
  • Connect with 500+ Hinman CEOs alumni for advice on joining startups, top graduate schools, and innovative employers
