Interested in learning more about careers in financial advising and wealth management?
Have you read the article in this past Sunday’s Washington Post Business section by Barry Ritholtz, recommending registered investment advisers over brokers?
Here’s an opportunity for you!
When: This Thursday October 30, 2014 at 2:00 – 3:15 pm
Where: 1101 Morrill Hall (located between Tydings and LeFrak Halls)
What: A 1999 alumnus, Gary Rozier, will be talking about career paths in his industry including financial advising and wealth management. Mr. Rozier is senior vice president for institutional marketing and client service at Ariel Investments, based in Chicago. Previously he worked at Rydex Investments in shareholder services, financial advisor sales, and product development and distribution. He has a special focus on registered investment advisors, which hold to a fiduciary standard rather than a suitability standard. He earned a BA in economics, and his firm regularly hires summer interns. He would like to see a fellow Terp in Chicago soon!
