The Data Analyst will be responsible for overseeing and implementing BSA’s data collection, analysis and reporting efforts. This includes designing and analysing programs, processes and procedures to extract, transform, integrate and load data into data systems and reporting tools to ensure timely and accurate compilation, analysis and dissemination of worldwide metrics data.
The incumbent will report to the Director, Global Internet and Data Analysis and is responsible for performing ongoing development and production of BSA’s internal Dashboard via extensive analysis of BSA enforcement program data, tracking the effectiveness of BSA programs and the performance of member companies in those programs. In addition, the Data Analyst will house, provide analysis and respond to ongoing requests for data generated from various BSA sponsored industry reports and studies.
Key Responsibilities:
Anti-Piracy Duties
- Overall management of LCMS (Lead Case Management System Database), including system and data integrity; conceptualization, development, and implementation of system improvements; and technical support and training to BSA staff, members, and vendors
- Prepare reports and analyze BSA’s historical and current data related to case metrics
- Identify/track process improvements related to BSA enforcement programs and data capture, develop and maintain key performance indicators and develop dashboards related to same
- Prepare/analyze reports, including summary reports, for BSA’s global enforcement programs (tracking changes in economic performance, business and political climate,
- Identify/track BSA success metrics related to markets where BSA operates, including analyses of BSA member participation in BSA enforcement programs, revenue pipelines, and lead generation efforts, present findings to BSA senior staff and members
- Support senior management in annual budgeting process, ad-hoc financial analyses, and board/planning meetings by incorporating BSA financial data with enforcement data
- Provide ongoing support to respond to data requests from BSA management and member companies
- Generate monthly reports on BSA results overall and for member companies
- Support the annual budget process by providing metrics and other market data for inclusion in the annual budget packet.
- Bachelor’s degree in business discipline such as Finance, Business Administration or Economics, or a liberal arts degree complemented with significant business/financial work experience; Masters preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a data analytics and reporting role.
- Advanced computer proficiency in the areas of spreadsheets, graphics, database and word processing software in a Windows environment. Proficiency and experience with Vlookups, Pivot Tables, and SQL a strong plus.

- Analytical, communications and presentation skills to enable useful dissemination of results.
