Responsibilities of the position include extensive research of public policy and business issues in the Latin American region, as well as global issues such as trade negotiations and multilateral fora.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. The ideal candidate is a resourceful and accomplished researcher and an excellent writer with an understanding of international politics, economics, and business. He or she should have a strong background, demonstrated interest, and experience living or studying in the region, as well as fluency in both Spanish and Portuguese.
Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to exercise independent judgment, interact comfortably with senior-level contacts, anticipate needs, adapt to demanding and fluid situations, and collaborate in a team environment. It is critical that the candidate is able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
