The UCLA Master of Applied Economics program is a full-time, 9-month program. Students in our MAE program will master techniques for rigorous economics analysis in order to perform well in in the fields such as: consulting, finance, government, and risk management.
To meet the ever-increasing demand for expertise in Big Data, our program features courses in data analytics. The MAE curriculum also includes courses from applied econometrics to writing and presentation skills.
According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, “Employment of economists is projected to grow 6 percent from 2014 to 2024, about as fast as the average for all occupations. Job prospects should be best for those with a Master’s Degree or Ph.D., strong analytical skills, and related work experience.”
