The University of Maryland College of Information Studies and the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation are hosting Data Challenge 2019, a week-long competition where students from the University of Maryland are charged with solving a complex problem by leveraging their analytical skills and creative ideas. As a participant you will solve an information problem based on a dataset of your choice from a sponsoring organization. There will be a competition where you will have the opportunity to present your findings, with a chance to win prizes. During the event days, you will network with company representatives, and listen to industry tech-talks.
