Montgomery County Department of Economic Development is
seeking an intern to start either this fall or in the spring. Intern must be
able to commit at least 2 days/week (time and days of week flexible) and for at
least 3 months (though a longer period is preferred!). Projects will vary
depending on the needs of the department, but will generally be research
oriented. Intern will have opportunity to work directly with the Deputy
Director of the department on several projects around efforts to promote and foster
growth in Montgomery County (projects can be orientated towards interests of
successful applicant). Potential projects could include, analyzing county's
employment information, researching Montgomery County companies, managing
company accounts in Salesforce, etc.
Further Details: The internship is unpaid, but is a great
experience. Successful applicant can expect a very strong letter of
recommendation as well as networking and skill building opportunities.
Successful applicant will have some research experience, experience with
Microsoft Word/Excel, and is self motivated/ can take initiative. Experience
with Salesforce is preferred but not required.
