Job Description: An Associate serves a critical role on project teams as the contributor of modeling, data analysis, and research tasks that are essential to a successful client engagement. In all cases, challenging problems require innovative and creative solutions. They also require working collaboratively with colleagues. Concentric’s assignments frequently involve expert testimony requiring attention to detail and the ability to meet aggressive schedules or high profile M&A transactions (e.g., sales of power plants). Modest and variable travel requirements (10%).
Qualifications: Concentric is interested in undergraduate students (entering their junior or senior year), graduate students, or recent graduates with exceptional quantitative, analytical, and communication skills. Ideal candidates should be able to demonstrate outstanding academic performance (A to B+ in economics, mathematics, and/or statistics classes). Experience in SPSS and Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word) is preferred. They should be self-motivated and possess strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving capabilities. Superior report writing, presentation, and communication skills are also desired. A genuine desire to learn about the complex energy industry is essential.
