This internship seeks to
develop candidate’s corporate finance knowledge through assignments in MITRE’s business unit’s financial
planning and program control departments. You will be tasked to maximize our
value to our government sponsors by demonstrating financial stewardship through
activities that assess enterprise health and drive knowledge and process
innovations within the finance organization. The variety and scope of this
internship will provide experiences resulting in a comprehensive understanding
of a Financial Analyst’s role within MITRE’s Corporate Finance Organization.
Potential responsibilities include:
- Coordinate activities and information sharing with Business Partners, other MITRE FFRDC's and operating units
- Prepare and maintain direct and indirect budgets at various organizational levels
- Analyze and diagnose business drivers and variances to budget using various financial systems
- Communicate financial results effectively with powerful visual narratives and story-telling
- Develop financial projections using various methods including historical trends, statistical analysis, and other predictive techniques

Minimum Education/ Experience: Currently pursuing an undergraduate
degree
Travel: *This position will require overnight travel up to 5 % of
the time as well as some local travel.
Clearance Suitability: (Govt Background Investigation) Clearance.
