Job description: The Analyst will dive deeply into a broad range of economic policy issues, both domestic and international. The position involves significant research and writing about specific policy topics, while also monitoring and analyzing a wide array of global policy trends and news, and helping the principals fulfill client mandates. Occasionally, the Analyst will assist Mr. Price in his capacity as an arbitrator of international investment disputes. The small size of the firm allows the Analyst the opportunity to interact daily with the firm’s principals. While the firm has an office manager responsible for administrative and office support duties, the Analyst may be asked to assist occasionally with administrative tasks.
Salary and benefits: Compensation package of $48,000, with an additional $2,000 transition allowance; 401k contribution (5 percent of total pay); and health insurance.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is: a strong writer, with the ability to distill and synthesize complex information; dependable; energetic; and entrepreneurial. A demonstrated background and interest in public policy is a plus. Past Analysts have included individuals with Bachelor’s degrees who have typically gone on to graduate programs or who already held a Master’s degree.
