The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a global network of policy research centers in Russia, China, Europe, the Middle East, India, and the United States, is seeking a Research Assistant to provide part-time research support to its DC-based U.S. Role in the World Program for 18 hours per week. This position has the potential to become full-time. The Research Assistant will be responsible for providing day-to-day support of the program's substantive work and research on issues of U.S. grand strategy and national security. The candidate will also provide administrative assistance for the Economic Strategy Roundtable series.
Successful applicants will have a B.A. in International Relations or a similar related field. Position requires strong research and writing skills, familiarity with current and enduring issues in U.S. foreign policy, and the ability to produce well-cited and clear reports for the scholar independently and in a timely manor. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, diligence and creativity are required as well.
