The Pardee Undergraduate Studies Scholarship was established in December 2007 by Katherine "Kit" Pardee '77 to provide scholarships to undergraduate students who have demonstrated consistent involvement in campus activities, are in good academic standing, and have financial need. Preference is given to students who are the first in their families to attend college.
Kit Pardee graduated with a Bachelor's degree in General Studies. Her field of academic interest was Women's Studies. During her time at the University of Maryland, Pardee was a member of the women's field hockey and basketball teams. While at UMD she became aware of the challenges that students face in achieving at a high level academically while also being involved in campus activities. Several years after graduating from Maryland, Kit earned her J.D. from the Catholic University of America.
