POSITION TYPE:  Entry Level, Full Time

CPG's Business Analyst Program offers a unique combination of work experience, skills training, and professional mentoring. Analysts act as important members of client engagement teams, taking the lead role in generating required research and analytics and taking part in brainstorming sessions with the consulting staff to develop insights for solving business challenges faced by our clients. CPG’s Business Analysts gain exposure to both the consulting and financial services industries.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Development of spreadsheet models to quantify the financial impact of business initiatives and the effects of consulting team recommendations.
• Financial performance analysis of financial services companies and comparison of performance to peer institutions.
• Manipulating and analyzing data pertaining to customers and markets.
• Conducting secondary research on industry topics and trends, including strategies, products and services, value propositions, and operational advantages of major financial services companies.
• Development of presentations for senior managers of leading financial services companies in the U.S., and presenting findings to those senior managers.
• Providing research support in developing speeches for CPG consulting staff, as well as conducting research for and authoring articles for publication in industry periodicals and forums.
• Analysis of company-specific news, performance, and developments to inform business development activities for the firm.
• Limited travel to client locations in the United States.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates for CPG’s Business Analyst Program must have:

• Undergraduate degree in finance, business, or related quantitative disciplines. Classes in money and banking, accounting, marketing, and statistics strongly desired.
• Well-developed analytical skills and comfort with building quantitative models a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• An aptitude and eagerness to learn.
