Korea Economic Institute of America (KEI) Fall 2019 Internship

Position Description
KEI is currently seeking graduate students & exceptional undergraduate students with an interest in Asia-Pacific issues for its fall 2019 intern class. They offer candidates a unique internship opportunity to be integrally involved in the inner workings of an international government policy institute. Due to the level of work expected of interns, the selection process is highly competitive and only open to the select few. 

KEI interns are directly active in the practice of U.S.-ROK diplomacy and provided maximum exposure to the issues and major players in the field of U.S.-Korea Relations via: report publication, attendance at events, and both peer-to-peer and VIP networking opportunities. Fall Internships in the Department of Commerce

The Department of Commerce Office of the General Counsel is offering fall (August through December, with flexible starting and ending dates) internship opportunities to students and recent graduates. Participants will be placed in the Office of Special Projects (a subsidiary of the Office of the General Counsel). Upon successful completion of the program, interns will receive a letter of recommendation. The internships are unpaid, but a transportation stipend is provided.

Hours are flexible.

Paid Fall Public Affairs Internship with APCO Worldwide

Position description
APCO Worldwide, Inc. is looking for forward-thinking and enthusiastic Public Affairs interns for the fall semester of 2019. Public Affairs internships at APCO involve working with professionals from a variety of interesting backgrounds, including communications professionals, former congressional staffers and former federal agency professionals. Interns in the Public Affairs practice will engage with and do research on a wide variety of subjects and issues, including federal regulations, legislation, and mapping out key thought leaders on various subjects, among other tasks. Position description

Fall 2019 Domestic Program Intern

The Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) is currently looking for a Domestic Program Intern for Fall 2019 (September through December). This is a full-time, Washington, DC-based position.

Job Description: The internship starts in early September 2019 and will end in December 2019 (the specific dates are somewhat flexible). The intern will assist with a variety of research, outreach, and communications activities related to the US economy and domestic policy. This may include outreach to press, advocacy organizations, and Congress, along with some research for upcoming reports and economic opinion pieces. Other tasks include communications duties such as generating website content and tracking CEPR’s appearances in the media, as well as helping with data entry related to our website redesign.

The responsibilities of interns vary based on the applicant’s interests and experience, as well as the particular issues that CEPR is working on at the time. Interns will be able to attend relevant events around Washington, DC.

Apply for the Junior position in the finance group of an IT consulting firm. Duties include creating and sending multiple types of monthly invoices, for a complex client list. The candidate will be the internal contact in finance for employees with questions about client bills and will also handle client inquiries about their bills. A fresh grad with interest in accounting or business who wants to learn and grow would be preferred but will consider others. This position requires a minimum of a 2 year commitment. 

Skills/traits - attention to detail, good numbers sense, Excel skill and enough confidence to ask questions. Any experience or classes in accounting or management would be helpful. Customer service experience is always an asset. 

The firm uses a complex client management system and they will provide the training necessary. Candidates with an affinity for complex systems would be given priority consideration.
