Career & Internship Networking Panel: Economics

Wednesday, October 22, 2014 • 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.
Location: University Career Center & The President’s Promise (3rd Floor Hornbake Library, South Wing)

Are you interested in the field of economics? Do you want to know what kind of job you could get after graduation and just how to get it? If so, you will want to take advantage of this great opportunity to network one-on-one with recent UMD alums that currently work in the field.

The first hour is going to be a panel (4:30-5:30 p.m.) discussion where you will learn how the panelists secured their jobs and what their positions are really like. This will be followed by an hour of informal socializing and networking (5:30-6:30 p.m.) where you can connect personally with the panelists to ask any questions you might have about internships, applying for jobs, or what it is like to work in the field. Several different positions from the economics field will be represented in the panel.
PANELISTS: Fannie Mae, Summit, Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and Cornerstone Research.

* Professional attire is suggested. Please feel free to bring several copies of your resume.
This event is co-sponsored by the Department of Economics.
