Scholarship Opportunity to Attend NABE's Economic Measurement Seminar

The 17th Annual Economic Measurement Seminar (EMS) presented by he NABE Foundation is being held virtually this year on August 31st - September 2nd and the NABE Diversity Scholars Program is providing scholarships to attend for minority economists/students who plan on going into a career in applied economics.

South River Mortgage - Paid Internship

Join a fast-paced mortgage company looking for economics students from University of Maryland. South River Mortgage is located in downtown Annapolis, MD and is looking for 3-4 interns to learn about the mortgage industry. Interns will go through a week long training program designed to help them become familiar with mortgage origination, then they will be paired with an operations manager who will help to direct them. Previous interns have helped to set up training programs, set up a quality assurance program, and become loan originators themselves.

Research Associate Position with the Cato Institute Center for Educational Freedom for Recent Grad

The Cato Institute seeks applications for a Research Associate for its Center for Educational Freedom, a full-time position located in Washington, DC. We are seeking candidates who are able to start as soon as possible.

These funds assist undergraduate BSOS majors engaged in experiential learning outside the classroom, such as unpaid internships, research, service learning, and professional or academic conferences. The funds are intended to help offset expenses related to activities like travel/transportation expenses, professional attire, and other opportunity costs (for example: the need to give up a part-time paid job in order to take an unpaid internship).

If you are a BSOS student with financial need that is preventing you from taking advantage of an unpaid opportunity, I encourage you to apply for BSOS Undergraduate Experience Funds.
