Seeking a part-time research assistant to support a project involving the exploration of historical sources at the National Archives in College Park. No specific previous experience required. The work is related to research projects in economic history, one related to US war production during the Second World War and another related to research and development conducted at NASA.
The successful candidate will devote between 50 and 100 hours in total during the summer to the project, with the advantage of a flexible schedule. Pay is at standard research assistant rates ($25 per hour). The main tasks include locating relevant historical sources at the national archives and scanning them. The position offers an excellent opportunity for students interested in gaining research experience, including specialized knowledge of archival research.
