Job Description:
KNG Health Consulting, a health
policy firm in Rockville, MD, is seeking a full-time paid intern for Summer
2015. The position is open to
candidates who are currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from
undergraduate or graduate programs.
Specific job tasks may include:
1. Conducting literature reviews
2. Reviewing and summarizing
Medicare regulations
3. Designing and conducting
analysis with Excel and Stata
4. Assisting in writing reports
This is a unique opportunity to
be a key contributor to a small, growing company. Intern will work with a PhD
economist in the field of health economics and policy. Intern will gain
experience and mentoring in conducting literature reviews, developing research
designs, and conducting analysis. Intern will also gain an in-depth
understanding of the U.S. health care system, particularly Medicare.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have or be
working toward a degree in Economics, Public Policy, or a related field. Candidates should have strong oral and
written communication skills as well as experience conducting literature
reviews and working with MS Excel. Experience with statistical software
packages, particularly Stata, is a plus.
