CIA Data Scientist Internship

The CIA needs technically-savvy students to help organize and interpret Big Data to inform US decision makers, drive analysis and successful operations, and shape CIA technology and resource investments. The CIA is looking for individuals from diverse educational backgrounds to fill the role of Data Scientist Intern. If you have an interest or experience in data analytics, computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, operations research, computational social science, quantitative finance, engineering or other data analysis fields, consider a position as a Data Science Intern at CIA.

Minimum Requirements: Applicant must be a full time undergraduate student with a GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. Initiative, creativity, integrity, technical excellence, and strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and in a group; strong writing and presentation skills are also required.

Preferred: Experience with advanced statistical or computational programming and modern databases and distributed computing systems are preferred. Programming expertise with the leading Big Data information management platforms and statistical or modeling software packages or other programming languages is preferred. Some domestic and overseas travel experience is also preferred.
