The Undergraduate Program in the Department of Economics is
undergoing substantial changes this semester that you should be aware of. We have revised our Bachelor of Arts degree requirements
and are now offering a Bachelor of Science degree.
All students who officially declare ECON as their major after
the end of the Fall 2015 schedule adjustment period (which ended on Sept 14th)
will be required to complete the new major requirements and will need to select
either the BA or BS track.
Students who declared ECON as their major for Fall 2015 or
earlier have the option to complete the “old major requirements” which were in
place when you declared, OR you may choose to switch to the new curriculum and complete
either the BA or BS track.

Important Note: If you are planning on graduating in May 2016, it is likely in
