BEA is currently located in downtown Washington, DC, near McPherson Square. In the spring of 2016, BEA will be relocating to a new space within the Suitland Federal Center in Suitland, MD, just outside of Washington, DC. Both locations offer easy access to Metro and other public transportation options, in addition to well-designed, conducive work environments.

This vacancy is for an Economist position, located at the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

The Recent Graduate Program is a one-year program that targets individuals who have recently graduated from qualifying educational institutions or programs. Successful applicants will be placed in a dynamic, one year career development program. Throughout the program, you will participate in formal training, job assignment and receive a mentor to develop competencies applicable to BEA's mission and needs. This position is at band II (GS-7, equivalent) entry level, and may be converted to a permanent or term appointment upon successful completion of the program.

This position is a Full time; Excepted Service; Pathways Program - Recent Graduates; Appointment is for an - Initial period of one year. Position may be converted to a permanent or term position.
