Full-Time Analyst Position at Solutions Economics for May 2016 Graduate

Solutions Economics, LLC provides expert testimony, reports and analyses for regulatory, litigation and business cases. The company specializes in services related to regulated industries, international arbitration and competition policy. Solutions Economics utilizes quantitative analyses, economic modeling, financial and economic theory, and comprehensive research.

Position Summary:

Solutions Economics is seeking to hire a full-time Analyst to join the team beginning in the summer of 2016. Applicants must be graduating in May 2016 with a degree in Economics or a related field.

Because of its close-knit working environment, Solutions offers Analysts the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of its work, carry significant responsibility and expand their knowledge in a number of fields and methods of analysis.

The responsibilities of an Analyst include the collection, synthesis, and analysis of financial and economic data and literature; the creation and programming of spreadsheets, databases, charts, and graphs; and the development of regression and other statistical analyses. In addition, Analysts are responsible for presenting data and findings in written form through reports, presentations, etc.

Qualifications:
Spanish reading and writing skills are highly recommended, as many of our cases involve work in Latin America. We seek candidates with strong analytical skills who can use both qualitative and quantitative tools to analyze complex issues and be able to present them in a manner that is accessible to those without an economics background. Successful applicants will exhibit a working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as the ability to perform research using the internet or other sources.

Also important are strong initiative, work ethic and confidence. Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.3. Experience working with the statistical analysis program Stata is strongly encouraged, as is experience with econometrics.
