Investment Associate, National Railroad Retirement Investment Trust

The National Railroad Retirement Investment Trust was founded in 2002 to fund the retirement benefits of railroad workers and their dependents in the United States. The Trust was established as an independent entity to invest the assets of the Railroad Retirement Account in a globally diversified portfolio. The Investment Associate position is a newly-created, entry-level opportunity. The Associate’s primary role will be supporting the Trust’s Directors and Analysts in the Private Equity, Private Debt, and Private Real Estate asset classes. The Associate will have a range of responsibilities, including investment operations; quantitative performance and risk analysis; market research; participation in analysis and evaluation of investment managers and opportunities; preparation of investment reports and presentations; and other strategic initiatives. The position is multi-faceted and provides professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will be recent college graduates, including those with up to two years of relevant institutional investment experience. An undergraduate degree is required, preferably in business, finance, or economics.

Applicants should have excellent quantitative, analytical, and written and oral communication skills. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required, as well as with other Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and Access). Experience with Burgiss Private i, Bloomberg, FactSet, Thomson Reuters, Wilshire Compass, and returns-based software is a plus, as is a demonstrated interest in pursuing the CFA designation.

Compensation:
