Paid Full-Time Spring Internship for Recent Graduates with the Aspen Institute

The Aspen Strategy Group (ASG), a policy program of the Aspen Institute, is a resolutely nonpartisan forum in which preeminent experts and policymakers explore the most pressing foreign policy and national security challenges facing the United States. Typically, the Strategy Group convenes annually in Aspen, Colorado in public and private settings, as well as various international locations, to hold strategic discussions on issues that affect American interests at home and abroad. Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Strategy Group has been convening virtually in 2020.

The ASG launched the Brent Scowcroft Award Fellowship (BSAF), a paid, temporary, and full-time internship program, in recognition of ASG Co-Founder and Chairman Emeritus General Brent Scowcroft’s long-time dedication to the group, as well as his legacy of distinguished public service. Now in its 18th year, the six-month fellowship is designed to provide the first steppingstone for recent graduates with a keen interest in foreign policy by way of direct exposure to the types of critical, thoughtful, and bipartisan discussions that characterize the ASG’s dialogues.

UMD Data Challenge 2021, Student Registration Open

UMD Data Challenge 2021 | February 20 - 27
UMD students, you are invited to the campus-wide (state-wide!) annual UMD Data Challenge 2021.

REGISTER HERE
Questions? Email the DC21 team at datachallenge@umd.edu.

Did you know that last year, an ARHU violinist made headlines with her success at this event? That's right, you don't have to be a "data person" to be involved! If you love solving puzzles and problems, this is the event for you.

At the annual UMD Data Challenge, students from every college and program help solve real challenges from real organizations (like Amazon Web Services and the National Cancer Institute) by looking at the data provided. Students present solutions after a week of brainstorming---while working with top mentors!---and present their ideas at a final judging event.

Students gain valuable team-building, resume-building, and networking experience. Plus, we just have fun!
