Trying to write your experiences on your resume but not sure where to start? Register for the "Transferable Skills" Sesh!

Are you applying for internships or entry-level positions but feel like you don't have much work experience? Are you having trouble articulating your skills and job responsibilities on your resume?

When faced with internship and job postings, common qualifications listed include:
  • Communication
  • Problem-solving
  • Teamwork
  • Attention to detail
  • Leadership
These "transferable skills" are all the skills that you take with you from one job to another and are valued by employers. However, it can be challenging to identify your own or articulate those skills on your resume.

During the Feller Center for Advising and Career Planning's "Transferable Skills" installment of the BSOS Career Skills Sesh Series, you'll learn:
  • How transferable skills are viewed by employers
  • How to identify your own
  • Receive a list of common transferable skills with concrete examples to help you articulate your own
At the end of this interactive session, you will have a better understanding of how to highlight your transferable skills to potential employers as you search for your next position.

The event will take place on March 1st from 12 - 1 PM in Tydings 2118.
