The Sadie Collective will host the fifth annual Sadie T.M. Alexander Conference for Economics and Related Fields (SACE) on February 16-18, 2023 in a hybrid format. The overarching theme of SACE 2023 will be: Looking Forward: Our Increasingly Digital World.
All tickets are inclusive of:
- State of the art conference experience, allowing camaraderie, learning, and engagement with Black women economists on the future of the economy
- Access to our annual research reception and awards night celebrating the work of Black women scholars who are economists and economists-in-training.
- Access to a professional development workshop and a career fair prep workshop
- Access to our career opportunities fair featuring a range of 30 organizations that hire economists, data analysts, and researchers. This includes private appointments with recruiters of interest.
- Access to Sadie Collective swag and useful resources for your career growth including the Sadie Collective membership portal
- Access to live financial literacy workshops curated for Black women
- An experienced mentor you are paired with and get to meet during the conference.
This series of events, hosted over Black History Month, will convene a wide range of attendees, from undergraduate students to prominent Black women across economics, business, technology, healthcare, and policy. The conference will feature exciting speakers such as Dr. Lisa Cook, the first Black woman to sit on the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, among others.
