The CSIS Policy Fellowship is a semester-long opportunity for undergraduate students from historically underrepresented backgrounds to engage in the national security field. Fellows will gain insights into global issues such as human security, climate change, and technology while learning from top foreign policy experts.
Open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors at eligible universities in the DMV area (including the University of Maryland), this program offers a $1,500 stipend and covers travel needs. Participants will attend weekly professional development seminars and networking events from January 28 to May 8, 2025.
Ideal candidates are those with a strong interest in policy, seeking to make an impact in national security, and belonging to marginalized groups. Fellows will leave the program with practical skills, a broad professional network, and a capstone project that showcases their learning.
