Job Opportunity in the LEHD group at CES for Graduating Seniors/Recent Graduates

The LEHD group in the Center for Economic Studies is hiring up to 2 positions. These positions are excellent opportunities for students to work directly with microdata, learn about the creation of cutting-edge government statistics, and potentially prepare for graduate school. This posting will be live from March 20 - April 3.

This role is designed for graduating seniors or recent alumni who are considering a PhD in Economics or a related field. It offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with high-level academic research and large-scale data analysis before entering a doctoral program.

Role Overview:
Position: Pre-Doctoral Research Assistant
Focus: Working directly with administrative data to improve existing data products and create new data products.
Key Responsibilities: Data cleaning and management, performing statistical analysis, and assisting with the preparation of research papers and presentations.
Desired Skills: Proficiency in R, Stata, or Python; strong quantitative background; and a keen interest in empirical research.
