Birthright Israel Excel Information Session

Birthright Israel Excel is a selective 10-week summer fellowship program in Israel for talented American Jewish undergraduate students who are pursuing careers in business, technology, biotech, and business development. Each Birthright Israel Excel Fellow will intern at a prominent multinational Israeli company, travel to Israeli sites, and meet with prominent members of the business, political, and academic communities. Upon completion of the summer programming, Birthright Israel Excel alumni will continue to network together to expand both their leadership and business acumen and join an exclusive community of future international Jewish business and technology leaders. All expenses associated with flights, housing and group programming will be covered by Birthright Israel Excel.

The University of Maryland has been specifically targeted for recruitment for this unique opportunity. U.S. Fashion Industry Association - Internship

Communications & Marketing Internship

Date: Spring 2014 – January to May/June 

 

Number of Hours: 10-20 hours/week – flexible part-time schedule 

 

Description: The United States Fashion Industry Association (USFIA) seeks an intern for the Spring 2014 semester to assist with the association’s communications, marketing, and administrative activities. The intern’s responsibilities may include: 

• Compiling research on trade policy and trade compliance topics (including rules of origin, consumer product safety, commercial documentation requirements, and international labor issues) for USFIA communications;
• Preparing communications for review and distribution through web-based bulk email program;
• Formatting and posting content to USFIA website (using web-based content management system) and social media accounts, including Facebook, Flickr, LinkedIn, and Twitter;
• Performing administrative tasks, including mailings, photocopying, database management, and answering telephones; and,
• Assisting with other communications, marketing, event planning, and administrative tasks as needed.

An especially self-motivated intern may also have the opportunity to attend congressional hearings and other Washington meetings and events and provide comprehensive recaps for USFIA members with intern’s byline.

The Hamilton Project is Seeking Spring and Summer Interns

The Hamilton Project is an economic initiative housed at the Brookings Institution. The Project produces research and policy proposals on how to create a growing economy that benefits more Americans (you can find more information on our website at www.hamiltonproject.org).

We are currently seeking motivated, energetic students--preferably juniors or seniors--to serve as full-time or part-time interns for academic credit and a small stipend during the spring semester and summer.

Join the University Career Center & The President’s Promise on a Career Shuttle to Facebook DC!

This trip is open to sophomores, juniors and graduate students of any major, provided you have a strong academic background and interest in government affairs, public policy, law or strategic communications. To be eligible for a summer externship with Facebook DC, you must be returning to school in Fall 2014 (May 2014 graduates and alumni are not eligible unless they plan to pursue further education starting next fall). ADDITIONAL NOTE: This career shuttle and site focuses on government affairs, NOT social media or computer science-related opportunities.

Facebook DC is currently recruiting for its summer externship program (a paid, full-time opportunity during Summer 2014). Facebook DC helps to inform users, the media, partners, employees and other stakeholders about Facebook’s products and business. Working with policymakers at the international federal, and state levels, the team handles legislative and regulatory matters, participates in domestic and international policy discussions and leads the company’s interactions with consumer and other non-governmental organizations.

Due to the limited space and the expected high demand for this trip, we will be enforcing our "no show" policy.
