Research
Associate – Health Policy
Social & Scientific Systems (SSS) is seeking a
Research Associate to provide support for all stages of health policy research
projects, including contributing to research design, compilation of data and
data analysis, development of data collection instruments and interview guides,
and dissemination within SSS’ Center for Health Research and Policy. The
Research Associate gathers topical research information as directed, performs
literature searches, synthesizes published research, data and statistics, and
prepares tabular and graphical presentations of data. Other activities include
using Excel or SAS to analyze health care data, writing sections of reports and
contributing to proposal development, and conducting telephone interviews with
health care providers or administrators. Works on a variety of projects for both
federal and non-federal clients, trade associations, states, and foundations.
Performs additional duties as required.
Bachelor's degree in economics,
related social science, or public health. Proficiency with Microsoft Office
applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Excellent verbal and written
communication skills as well as strong quantitative skills. Experience with SAS
a plus (training can be provided).

research in the basic sense of the term (i.e., in laboratories, bench research,
animal testing or clinical research).”
