I’m excited to announce the beginning of the Maryland chapter of the Federal Reserve Team Challenge. As a group we will be representing the University of Maryland in a national competition that focuses on knowledge of economic and monetary policy. The initial round of competition takes place at our regional Federal Reserve Bank, where the team will be responsible for describing the current economic outlook and providing policy suggestions for the Fed. Winners of the regional competitions are then brought to Washington DC and present before the Board of Governors for a chance to be labeled Champions. This is a fantastic opportunity to network with esteemed professionals in the field of Economics and apply your education in a competitive setting. My personal experience was profound, I learned a lot and have made several valuable connections.
