Are you studying Behavioral and Social Sciences? Are you interested in using the tools of Innovation and Entrepreneurship to Be The Solution to the world’s greatest problems? Join the BSOS Solutions Lab!

BSOS 388B Innovation & Social Change: Do Good Now (3 cr.)
MW 1 – 2, W 5 – 6 (discussion)

Engage with small teams of like- minded students to benefit society. Combine the imagination and creativity of transformative action for the social good with the pragmatic approach of entrepreneurship and innovation, providing you an opportunity to make an impact on a community issue of your choice. Course projects will include participation in the campus-wide Do Good Challenge where teams will have the chance to win money and prizes for the solutions they develop.

BSOS 388C Introduction to Innovation (1 cr.)
W 5 – 6:30 PM


Learn how to use innovation and teamwork to move a new idea from creation to competition. Using tools from behavioral and social sciences, and drawing from the experience and resources of Maryland’s entrepreneurship community, student teams will develop their ideas and have the opportunity to compete for seed funding to launch their ideas while being mentored by BSOS Alumni and EnTERPreneurs.

BSOS 388D Career Paths for Business Entrepreneurs (1 cr.)
Th 5 – 6:30 PM


Explore the skills and mindset of successful business entrepreneurs. Learn how to apply behavioral and social sciences research methods and tools to effectively market yourself and your ideas in all kinds of business and professional settings. Learn how to navigate career resources and meet BSOS Alumni Entrepreneurs who serve as consultants and mentors in the BSOS Solutions Lab.
