Description
This is a 12 week paid internship program. Core2 Group is looking for economics and statistics interns with very strong statistics, econometrics and finance skills, including experience working with large data sets using statistical packages like R and SAS. Working with a venture-funded start-up like Core2 Group will give interns experience in all aspects of business, helping to determine a future career path as well as provide valuable experience.
Responsibilities
- Research company financial results, securities pricing, and assemble testable data sets
- Formulate multiple regression equations
- Run multiple regressions, searching for best fits
- Interpret, analyze and present results
- Gather product validation data, oversee test process, and review product performance
- Investigate data sets related to internet traffic and internet registry to identify value add information to Core2 Group’s daily Digital Footprint data
Requirements
Applicants should have excellent macroeconomic, econometric and math skills, and have the ability to work in teams. Good knowledge of key statistical and programming tools such as Matlab, R, SAS is highly recommended.
Majors or Master Degree Work:
Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Econometrics
Experience Gained
Interns will be managed by professionals with 10+ years of experience developing and running internship programs. Interns will be able to interact with executive management, the Chief Economist, and will be expected to contribute in and add value to regular meetings. Working with a small business like Core2 Group will give interns experience in all aspects of business, helping to determine a future career path as well as provide valuable experience.
